What myHermy is

myHermy is managed hosting for Hermes (and OpenClaw) AI agents, running on dedicated Hetzner Cloud servers. It exists to make a capable, always-on personal AI agent something you can deploy in minutes — without provisioning a server, hardening an OS, configuring TLS, or writing your own backup scripts. You get a real VPS you own, with full root SSH, and we handle the operational work around it.

It is built and operated by CognyX. You can reach the team at support@myhermy.ai.

Why we built it

Self-hosting an AI agent is genuinely powerful, but it turns every user into a part-time sysadmin: a box to maintain, upgrades to babysit, and an API bill that grows with usage. We wanted the control and ownership of self-hosting without that operational tax — so myHermy keeps what matters (a server you own, root access, your data) and removes the rest.

What makes myHermy different

Three things set myHermy apart from other managed agent hosts:

  • OAuth subscription bridging. Connect the ChatGPT Plus, Claude Max, GitHub Copilot, or SuperGrok subscription you already pay for, and your agent uses it for inference — instead of stacking a separate per-token API bill on top of hosting. No other managed host we have reviewed bridges a consumer AI subscription this way.
  • Daily snapshot backups. Automatic Hetzner snapshots with 7-day rolling retention and one-click restore, so a bad change is never permanent.
  • One-click OpenClaw migration. Already running OpenClaw yourself? A guided wizard moves your agent — its SOUL.md persona, MEMORY.md memory, skills, and command allowlists — onto managed infrastructure without a manual rebuild.

Who it is for

myHermy is for developers, founders, and small teams who want an agent that checks in, runs research, and handles busywork across the channels they already use — WhatsApp, Telegram, Discord, Slack, Signal, or email — without becoming an infrastructure project. You can start small at $19/month and scale up as your workload grows.

How we write

Our blog covers Hermes and OpenClaw agents, self-hosting, the OAuth subscription bridge, and practical automation. Articles are written by the myHermy team from hands-on work with the runtimes we host. If you spot something inaccurate or out of date, email us — we correct it.
